Thanks to all for a fantastic field trip on December 14th! We all rocked out at the Justo Lamas concert. It was really great to see everyone dancing and singing in Spanish. Plus...."Eduardo" did us proud as he demonstrated how skilled he was at controlling a soccer ball. "Hugo" showed his expertise at counting fast in Spanish and we know deserved first place. "Emilia" and "Alejandro" represented us well as they danced some salsa with Justo. Then we all enjoyed some authentic Mexican food at La Nopalera. A special "Gracias" to Mrs. Combs, Mr. Holifield, and Mrs. Spiwak for chaperoning the event.
For more info on Justo Lamas, check out his website.

8th Grade Spanish Field Trip
Reminder that our field trip is on Tuesday, December 14th. You will go to Per. 1A as usual for Spanish class where we will complete a bellringer, diario, and create some posters for the class and concert. Then we will leave school at 9:30 a.m. for the concert. Parents who chaperone should meet us at the bus drop off area in the back of the school no later than 9:30 a.m.
Please remember to wear your concert t-shirt, bring a healthy snack and drink to eat on the bus on the way to the concert, and money to buy food at La Nopalera's after the concert. Also, listen to your CD so you can sing along with Justo.
Can't wait:) ¡Nos vemos el martes!

Salsa Club Holiday Celebration
Salsa Club will spice up the usual meeting on Wednesday, December 15th with a holiday party. All "Salseros" should plan to wear red and green or their "I Love Salsa" t-shirts, plus a Santa hat, elf hat, or reindeer antlers. You should also bring a $5.00 gift to put under the tree for the gift exchange. Many of you signed up to bring food and drinks. If in doubt, bring something to drink.
See you on the dance floor!
