HW:  Tarea - P-4 and P-5

Helpful Hint:  On P-5, the word "cuando" means "when," so the exercise is trying to get you to see the time differences between countries.  When it's _____ time in one place, it's ____ time in another place.  Write the 2 times in the spaces provided on the left.

HW:  Review for skills test #10 on the weather.  Make sure you know how to describe the weather for each season and how to say the temperature in degrees.  Also, make sure you know your lines for the weather song presentation and bring any necessary props to class.

1st Salsa Club Meeting

Just a reminder that our first Salsa Club meeting will be on Wednesday, September 26th.  Permission slips are available in the Main Office or from Mrs. Dennis in Room 341 or by clicking on the files.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our meeting place this year has been changed to the CAFETERIA.  Yeah!  Lots more space!  Parents, please pick up students on Minerva Avenue by the cafeteria at 3:30 p.m.  Better yet, get there a little early, park the car and come in and join us!

Don't forget to bring a healthy snack and water or a Gatorade-type drink.  Also, wear or bring tennis or dance shoes.  NO BARE FEET and NO FLIP FLOPS OR BACKLESS SHOES.

See you on the dance floor!

7th Grade Spanish - September 20th

HW:  Create a color by number picture.  Find or draw a simple picture.  Write in the numbers in Spanish that correspond to the color you want someone to use to complete your picture.  Make a key with the number and corresponding color in Spanish on the side, top, or bottom of the picture.  Do NOT color in your picture.

Next Test:  A - Day - Wednesday, September 26th
                  B - Day - Thursday, September 27th

Review numbers 0-100, parts of the body, and colors to prepare for the test.  Use www.conjuguemos.com to practice.

7th Grade Spanish - September 12th

HW:  Study how to say numbers from 0 to 20 in Spanish.  A great place to practice is the www.conjuguemos.com website!

Reminder:  Bring your monster picture to class.

Parents, I just returned the first test.  Students should have it in the back pocket of their folders.  Tutoring is on Mondays after school from 2:10 to 3:00.  If a student wants to retake a test, he/she must come to tutoring before he/she can retake the test.

8th Grade Spanish - el 10 de septiembre

HW: 1)  Make sure you have 5 entries for your bell ringers. Each entry should have a sentence telling something interesting you learned about Spain in your readings in class or on the internet, plus a picture to help you visualize what you learned. I will collect bell ringers at the beginning of the next class. 

        2)  Also, print your final copy of your Wordle. Have your draft and final copy ready to turn in for the next class.

        3)  Review how to tell time for Skills Test #5.

7th Grade Spanish - September 10th

HW:  Make sure you have 5 entries for your bell ringers.  Each entry should have a sentence telling something interesting you learned about Spain in your readings in class or on the internet, plus a picture to help you visualize what you learned.  I will collect bell ringers at the beginning of the next class.

Also, bring a drawing or picture you have created of a monster. We will use the monster to talk about parts of the body in Spanish, so add lots of arms, eyes, heads, legs...things you know how to describe!

HW:  Study for test.  Review the alphabet, Spanish-speaking countries and capitals, and social expressions.(p.- 1 of your vocab list).  I will use the alphabet to spell some of the capitals.
