World Language Festival
Our students did a great job once again at the Northeast Florida World Language Festival at Wolfson High School on Saturday, March 1st.
For the 2nd year in a row, our team won the 1st Place Trophy for the Spanish Brain Brawl trivia contest. Congratulations Sarah, Samuel, Andrea and Sydney!
In individual events, Samuel was runner-up for the Spanish 1 Vocabulary Bee. Isabella and Melanie received superior ratings for Spanish poetry recitations. Jon and Kirsten received excellent ratings in impromptu speaking and Kristie, Zane, Kyle, Sydney, Emma, Brooke, Christine, and Christiana received superior ratings. Emma also received an excellent rating for her power point project.
Kirsten and Brooke delivered a beautiful rendition of the Spanish lullaby "A la nanita" for the International Idol competition, and Andrew led our relay team to a 2nd Place in the Amazing International Relay Race!
I am so proud of all of my Spanish students!!!! Thank you for taking time on Saturday to participate and represent JLCP. Extra Credit for All!!!!
