HW:  Prepare for next skills test on talking about what you like and don't like to do.  Complete the "Activities I Like to Do" practice on www.conjuguemos.com.  You must complete a total of 20 sentences with a score of 90%.  Then send/record scores so that I can see your score.

Reminder:  Whoever is in charge of creating the logos/backdrop for your newscast should bring a copy to class next time.

HW:  Complete the practice activity on numbers 0 thru 20 on the www.conjuguemos.com website.  Make sure that you get a minimum score of 90% and do at least 20 words.

Practice counting by ten's to prepare for your next speaking test.

HW:  Review colors for next skills test.  Make sure you can spell each color correctly.  Write at least one sentence in Spanish using each color.

Sample:  Azul es el color de los ojos de Zac Efron.  or   Mi mochila es azul.

7th Grade Spanish - el 18 de marzo

HW:  Complete the practice activity on parts of the body on www.conjuguemos.com. Keep practicing until you have a score of 90%.  The link for the website is on the left of the Blog.  Use your personal user and password.  Usually both are "1415firstname."  Be sure to send/save results so I can see that you completed the activity.

8th Grade Spanish - el 18 de septiembre

HW:  Review for skills test on weather expressions.  Be sure to know how to describe weather for different seasons, how to ask what the weather is like and what is the temperature and how to respond in Spanish.

Periods 1A and 3A:
Practice Assignment:  Write 10 different sentences with 10 different weather descriptions followed by a sentence that says "It's a good/bad day for doing a particular activity."

Sample:  Hace calor.  Es us día bueno para nadar.

Periods 1A, 3A, and 5B:
****Reminder:  If you did not finish your sentences describing someone in class doing 3 activities (based on vocab from Episodios), you need to finish that work at home.

7th Grade Spanish - el 16 de septiembre

HW:  On the top half of a sheet of paper, create a monster (Un Monstruo) with no more than 10 of one body part.  Your monster may have horns, wings, teeth, etc., but it MUST also have the 10 parts of the body learned in class.  DO NOT label any of the body parts.  All you need is the drawing to be used in the next class. 

8th Grade Spanish - el 16 de septiembre

HW:  Make a drawing of a person or an animal but in place of the lines, write the words repetitively for that part of the body in Spanish.  For example, to make the head, write the words "la cabeza" in a circle.  Be sure to include at least 10 parts of the body.  Use "el" or "la" as appropriate with each word.

7th Grade Spanish - el 12 de septiembre

HW:  Create a cartoon, all in Spanish, with a minimum of 8 panels that uses the social expressions vocabulary learned in class (see p.1 of vocab lists for Para Empezar).  Do NOT use a translator or other words NOT on the list.  I want you to be creative with and practice our class list of vocabulary.

8th Grade Spanish - el 12 de septiembre

HW:  Review for next skills test on calendar words.  Make sure you know how to say the days of the week, months of the year, how to give the date, how to ask what is the date, and what day is today, and the words for today and tomorrow.  There is a practice for giving dates on the www.conjuguemos.com website.  User and password are "landonlions."

HW:  Review for your test
A-Day 9/12 (Friday) and B-Day 9/15 (Monday)

Practice how to spell the countries and capitals for South America by using your Spanish alphabet. If given the capital, be able to write the name of the country.  Review all of the social expressions from p.1 of the vocabulary list.  Be able to say the English meaning for each Spanish word or phrase.

8th Grade Spanish - el 11 de septiembre

HW:  Review question words  (who, what, when, where, to where, how, how much) and typical questions and answers using those words .  Make sure you can spell the words.

7th Grade Spanish - el 8 de septiembre

HW:  Make a set of flashcards for p. 1 of the vocabulary on social expressions  (from the Para Empezar list).  Write the Spanish on one side and the English translation on the other side.

8th Grade Spanish - el 8 de septiembre

HW:  Review number 0-110 for next skills test.  Make sure you know how to spell the numbers.  Use the www.conjuguemos.com website to practice.

Make a poster using any number from 0 to 100.  Find something significant about that number and write on the poster what that number represents.  For example, 9 is the number of words Alexander Graham Bell said on his first telephone call. Write the number in Spanish at the top and also give the number in Arabic numerals.  Add a picture that relates to the reason this number is important and a brief description explaining the importance of the number. The only part in Spanish is the written number itself.

You should also review for a skills test on how to tell time.
